Order in 3 easy ways

However your artwork is ready, we make printing simple.

1

Send the file first

We check it free and tell you the largest size it will hold up at, so you buy the print the photo can actually carry.

2

Choose stretched or rolled

Stretched arrives ready to hang; rolled ships cheaper in a tube for local framing. It has to be decided before printing.

3

Approve the wrap proof

We show what the gallery wrap takes from the edges, so nothing important disappears around the side of the frame.

Frequently asked questions

Stretched canvas or rolled?

Stretched arrives on its frame, ready to hang. Rolled arrives as the printed canvas in a tube and costs considerably less to make and to ship — sensible if you already have a frame, if you're framing it locally, or if it's going a long way by courier. What you can't do is stretch a rolled print that was sized for no border, so tell us at the start which one you want.

What's the difference between acrylic and metal?

Acrylic is printed behind clear perspex, which gives real depth and makes darks look deeper — it suits photographs with strong contrast. Metal prints onto brushed or white aluminium; on brushed the metal shows through lighter areas and gives a slight sheen. Both are rigid, wipe clean and don't need glazing. Acrylic shows fingerprints more.

How much resolution do I need?

Around 150 DPI at the final size is the practical floor for wall work, viewed from a metre or more. A 12-megapixel phone photo comfortably makes an A2; going to A0 from the same file will look soft up close. Send the file and we'll tell you free what size it holds up at — before you pay, not after.

What happens at the edges of a gallery wrap?

About 35 mm of the image wraps around the frame's sides and is not visible from the front. Keep faces and text well inside the panel. If the composition can't spare it we can mirror the edge or add a solid colour border instead — say which you'd prefer and we'll show it on the proof.

Do they come ready to hang?

Stretched canvas, acrylic and metal all ship with their fixings. Framed prints come glazed and wired. Rolled canvas is the one exception — it arrives as canvas in a tube, for you to frame.

How fast is delivery?

Rolled canvas is typically ready in 3–4 working days after approval; stretched canvas, acrylic and metal take 5–8 because of the mounting and finishing. Prices exclude 18% GST.
